Ronan: I love your face.

This week I've been struggling to get the balance right.The house is a tip, but lots of other things have been accomplished. I see a mega cleaning blitz in my near future!

Leo: I made you this crochet hat (on the hottest day of the Summer so far -- typical!), you put it on, and despite clearly being too hot, refused to take it off!

Ronan: Enjoying the early morning sun on our massive deck.

Finally some lovely hot weather this week. The cicadas around our house are going absolutely nuts! We treated ourselves to some ice cream and have been making good use of our fridge's ice making capabilities!

Ronan: Ready for bathtime!

We're all moved in to our new home! This week has been a rush of cleaning, packing, unpacking and organising. We still have many boxes to sort through but I already feel "at home", in our new place. The most annoying part is cleaning up at our old rental. So happy to finally be home-owners -- no more landlords, hooray!

Both kids have, for the most part, taken the move in their stride. Although, following an incident surrounding the discovery of a panic button in our main bedroom, causing the house alarm to explode into action at at least a bazillion decibels, at 10pm on our first night, Leo has not been falling asleep without the lamp in his room on, and the door open.

Leo: My mum has been de-cluttering and found my old rowing cap in a cupboard. Leo has since claimed it as his own and has been wearing it at every opportunity!

Ronan: First time in a swing at the park, I think he likes it!

My new camera finally arrived this week! I have wanted a DSLR camera for 5 years, so I am very excited to have finally upgraded! No prizes for guessing which of the photographs from this week was taken with the new camera, and which with the old! So far I've only used it on auto, but I know I will get so much more from it when I learn to shoot manual instead. I see lots of research, reading and watching youtube videos on this topic in my future! If any of you have hints or tricks for me, I'd be happy to hear them!

Posting early this week, as we have a busy weekend ahead. We settle on our first home on Monday, so the next few days will be a blur of cleaning, packing and sneaking in some time on Pinterest for decorating ideas!

Leo: You found the sprinkles in the pantry, and decided to help yourself! I snuck the camera around the corner of the door so you didn't know you'd been caught! 

Ronan: Figuring out this crawling business already, at just 6 months old!

Well, I am incredibly late to the party for week five! Our computer had a complete meltdown and needed a new hard-drive! Luckily I was able to back up all of our pictures before we sent it away to be fixed *phew*!
